Standards Compliance

This site is built to comply with the W3C XHTML 1.0 Strict document type definition. This compliance ensures that the underlying structure of the website is accessible to all web users. Alongside this, the site is validated against the WAI AA checkpoint to make sure the content within the site is also accessible to all web users. Due to the nature of the technology used to create the forms on the site, these pages do not validate fully. Every care has been taken to ensure that this is the only exception.

Multimedia Content

This site utilises Adobe Flash to provide engaging multimedia content. Where this is displayed on the site an alternative version of the content is available for users who cannot use flash for any reason:

Navigation

A skip navigation option (access key S) is available on the majority of pages to users of screen readers and text-only browsers. Skip navigation enables the user to jump straight to the content area of a page, bypassing the top and side navigation.

The navigation system is consistent throughout the site to create clear, simple navigation pathways.
